Kill Matrix
The Kill Matrix shows how efficiently a ship performs in battle against other types of ships. The chart includes all ships and planetary defense systems for every species.The following picture shows the Kill Matrix of the Blade ship as it performs against the Scourge ship. What is referred to as the subject ship is the ship whose Kill Matrix we are examining. In this example, the subject ship is the Blade. The data for the target ship (the Scourge in this case) also appears within the picture.

- Name of the subject ship.
- Name of the target ship.
- Class of the target ship.
- The subject ship’s kill efficiency in relation to the target ship. The number represents the quantity of subject ships required to destroy a single target ship.
- Here you can see the subject ship’s resource efficiency in relation to the target ship.

Kill Efficiency of the Subject Ship
The kill efficiency of the subject ship shows how many ships you need of that type to destroy one target ship.
Example
We use the base formula:
Blade attack on Scourge ship = [ (f * s) * (tp - e) ] / 100 = [ (13 * 7) * (54 - 17) ] / 100 = 33,67
Legend
f = number
of weapons (Blade)
s = damage
(Blade)
hr = hit ratio (Blade)
e = dodge (Scourge)
The calculation shows
that one shot from a Blade ship causes a Scourge ship 33.67 points of damage.
The Scourge’s defense shield (792) divided by the power of a Blade shot (33.67)
provides the Blade’s kill efficiency versus the Scourge.
792 / 33.67 = 23.5 - Hence 23.5 Blades are needed to destroy one Scourge.
Resource Efficiency of the Subject Ship
Resource efficiency compares the resources needed to build a target ship to the total cost of building enough subject ships to destroy a target ship.
The total cost equals the overall value of the resources consumed by building the necessary number of subject ships.
Example
Destroying a Scourge requires 23.5 Blades. The total cost of 23.5 Blades (in metal, crystal and narion) is shown here:
23,5 * (1800 + 1100 + 100) = 70500
The cost of a Scourge ship:
6100 + 5200 + 700 = 12000
The resource efficiency of the subject ship, then, is as follows:
(Cost of a Scourge ship / Total cost of 23.5 Blade ships)*100 = (12000/70500)*100 = 17,02%
Kill Efficiency of the Target Ship
The kill efficiency of the target ship shows how many ships of that type the enemy needs to destroy one subject ship.
Example
We use the base formula:
Scourge attack on Blade ship = [ (f * s) * (tp - e) ] / 100 = [ (12 * 27) * (68 - 43) ] / 100 = 81
Legend
f = number of weapons
(Scourge)
s = damage (Scourge)
hr = hit ratio (Scourge)
e = dodge (Blade)
The calculation shows that one shot from a Scourge ship causes a Blade ship 81 points of damage. The Blade’s defense shield (108) divided by the power of a Scourge shot (81) provides the Scourge’s kill efficiency versus the Blade.
108 / 81 = 1.33 - Hence 1.33 Scourges are needed to destroy a Blade.
Resource Efficiency of the Target Ship Resource efficiency compares the resources needed to build a subject ship to the total cost of building enough target ships to destroy a subject ship.
The total cost equals the overall value of the resources consumed by building the necessary number of target ships.
Example
Destroying a Blade ship requires 1.33 Scourges. The total cost of 1.33 Scourges (in metal, crystal and narion):
1,333(6100 + 5200 + 700) = 15996 ~16000
The cost of a Blade ship = 1800+1100+100=3000
The resource efficiency of the Target ship, then, is as follows:
(Cost of a Blade ship / Total cost of 1.33 Scourge ships) * 100 = (3000/16000)*100 =18,75%
How to Open the Kill Matrix Window:
Look for the Ship Data box within the Central Database on the left side of the Control Center. Clicking on any species name opens a window showing all available ships. Hit any ship’s name to open its fact sheet. You can find the Kill Matrix option under the characteristics chart.
